Jane Sender, Esq. President of Sender Legal Search
Jane E. Sender has run her search firm in Boston since 1995. She began her legal career as a clerk for the late Hon. Henry A. Politz, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, then worked as an associate at Troutman Sanders in Atlanta and Posternak, Blankstein & Lund in Boston. Jane left law practice realizing that she had a strong entrepreneurial leaning, an interest in the business side of law practice, and a deep appreciation of how the right combination of lawyers working together could create a powerful, efficient and extraordinarily effective law firm or in-house legal department.
She has a Masters Degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford (Somerville College), where she was elected a member of the Development Board of the College in 2008. Jane is graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar. She is a Member of the Newton Conservation Commission, the current President of the Newton Conservators, and was formerly Clerk of The Charles River Watershed Association and President of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts. In 2008 she worked as the Out of State Voter Protection Coordinator for the Obama Campaign in Florida, where she managed 500 lawyers who came to Florida from as far away as Alaska to protect voter’s rights at the polls.
